GFX50s and why I changed to Fuji!

I know how hard is to invest in a new camera, something that suits our needs but at the same time presents a new journey into our lives.

A journey about discovering the tricks and ways to get closer to what we want has photographers.

At 22 my first camera was a Nikon D80, it was a good camera and I took a lot of pictures, especially night club reports.

But then, the outbreak of the Canon 5D mark II happened and I was seduced to buy one. So I saved up some money and bought me a Canon, I had some old lenses and looked online for adapters, I used Contax/Yashica lenses I still have them a full kit and they are wonderful and very robust.

I had made a lot of work with the Canon, but I have never liked the color tone so I changed and bought the Fuji XT1 and small camera, mirrorless and with the tonality that I was looking for.

The tiny camera produces some nice shots and with that one, discovered a new type of photography, one more about feeling than about megapixel.

Finally, the camera that I own now, a Fuji GFX50s a medium format beast with the perfect tones and all the tools I need for my work since I am not a Sports photographer the camera is perfect for me.

It is a slow camera, and with the large file creation you have to have a good sense of what you want to shoot, extra luggage is not what you need on big-budget work.

I am extremely pleased with the outcomes of this camera and I use a Contax 645 full lens kit, it's sharp and intuitive. It's the closest thing to film I have experienced.
